+ Costs and Service Fee to Volunteering Program

The fact that you register as a volunteer implies that you will have all the necessary support before and during your participation in the program. Volunteering-Peru takes care of organizing it so there are no administrative procedures for you to do, you just have to concentrate on your trip!

The rate of 80 US dollars allows us to cover the following services (only projects in Cusco):

• Pick up at the airport or bus station.
• Introduction to the Homestay (if you chose to live with a family).
• Introduction of the city of Cusco, short walking tour (1.5hrs).
• Introduction to the Spanish school (only for English speakers) and transportation on the first day of classes
• Information, orientation and visit to chosen project.
• 20 US dollars will go to the project where you work at the end of your program.
• Assistance in case of illness (we bring the volunteer to the hospital).

• Assistance in case of theft (we go to the police station with the volunteer).

• Advising on planning trips and activities.

• Going out for dinner and meeting with all volunteers (pizza not included).
• Assistance in case of emergency, 24 hrs.

Note: The medical project requires an additional cost of USD 90 which will be donated to the medical center where you work.

+ Did you choose our accommodation?

As a volunteer you have the option of living with a family or student apartment (please contact us for more information about student apartments if available). In the family lodging you will have three daily meals that are included in the price, if you decide to live in the apartment you will have to prepare your own meals. It is also possible to choose the combination of these two types of accommodation.

We have two types of accommodations: In Cusco and Coya.

In Cusco are the vast majority of our programs and most volunteers prefer the local family accommodation.

What does the family accommodation in Cusco include?

• A clean room with keys, wardrobe and good living conditions.
• Private or shared bathroom.
• 3 delicious meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
• Access to Wi-Fi
• Information about travel and services.
• Special diets for vegetarians or allergic people are catered for on request.

If you prefer the tranquility and beauty of the countryside then we suggest you the accommodation in Coya. Ask us about the volunteer projects that are in Coya. Keep in mind that housing conditions are more basic than Cusco's accommodations.

What does the family accommodation include in Coya?

• 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

If you do not speak Spanish well we suggest you take one of our courses so that you can communicate and have a pleasant experience in the project, in the requirement of each program the level of Spanish you need is indicated.

• Local orientation
• Study material
• Weekly activities; salsa classes, cooking, dinner, etc.
• Exchange of books
• Free Internet (Wi-Fi)
